If you use a Google Keyboard on your Android device, you may have noticed that the number row is not always populated with numbers. This can be frustrating if you need to type in a phone number or other important information quickly. In this article, we will show you how to add a dedicated number row to the Google Keyboard on Android. To add a dedicated number row to the Google Keyboard, first open the app and tap on the three lines in the top left corner of the keyboard. From here, select “Settings.” Under “Language & input,” tap on “Number row.” You will now see a new option called “Add dedicated number row.” If you don’t see this option, your device may not have enough memory for it. Tap on this option and then select “Yes” from the pop-up menu. Now, when you need to type in a phone number or other important information, simply tap on the number row and start typing! ..

By default, the Google keyboard does not display a row of numbers at the top of the main keyboard. If you spend a lot of time typing numbers, there’s an easy way to add a dedicated row of numbers to the top of the keyboard.

Without the dedicated number row, you must use the “?123” button on the keyboard to access the numbers and symbols. We’ll show you how to add a number row at the top of the keyboard.

To add a dedicated number row to the Google keyboard, swipe down on the right side of the top status bar and touch the “Settings” button.

In the “Personal” section of the “Settings” screen, touch “Language & input.”

Under “Keyboard & Input Methods,” touch the settings icon to the right of the “Google Keyboard.”

On the “Google Keyboard Settings” screen, touch “Appearance & layouts.”

On the “Appearance & layouts” screen, touch “Custom input styles.”

The “Custom input styles” screen displays listing “German” and “French” options for the keyboard. To add another option, touch the plus button on the right side of the screen’s header.

Select “English (US)” (or whatever language you want) from the “Language” drop-down list and then select “PC” from the “Layout” drop-down list. Touch “Add.”

A dialog box displays telling you that the custom input style needs to be enabled. Touch “Enable” to enable the custom style you just added.

The “Languages” screen displays. De-select the “Use system language” option under “Google Keyboard.” In the “Active Input Methods” section, de-select the “English (US)” option and select the “English (US) (PC)” option. Touch the “Back” button on your device.

The “English (US) (PC)” input style is added to the list of styles. Touch the device’s “Home” button to return to the Home screen.

A dedicated number row is added to the top of the Google keyboard.

The keys on the keyboard are now smaller than they were without the dedicated number row, but if you type a lot of numbers it’s a small price to pay for convenience and speed when typing.
