If you’re using Windows 10, 8.1, or 8, you can find the version number for your drivers in the Device Manager. If you’re using earlier versions of Windows, you may need to look in the driver’s installation directory. To find the version number for your drivers on a Windows 10 device:
- Open the Device Manager and click on the Driver tab.
- In the left pane, click on the Version Number column and then click on the Details button to view more information about each driver.
- If there are any driver versions that are different from what’s currently installed on your device, you’ll see a list of different versions in the right pane. The most recent version of each driver will be at the top of this list.
We have advised you not mess with your drivers if they are not broken in the past, but from time to time issues arise and later versions of a driver may fix an issue that you are experiencing. Here is how to see which version any driver is at, on any recent version of Windows.
